LOCALISM THAT WORKS
The PlaceShapers Group of housing associations appointed us to write, design and produce a major research report to demonstrate how community based housing associations are delivering on the Government’s vision for localism.
Localism that works has 16 inspiring case studies of how housing associations engage and empower local communities to make things happen. The report was launched to widespread acclaim at a Westminster reception by the Rt Hon Greg Clark MP, Minister for Decentralisation and Cities.
Tony Stacey, Chair of the PlaceShapers Group and Chief Executive of South Yorkshire Housing Association, said: “If there’s one report you should read this year, it’s this one. We want people to use it and be inspired to replicate and build on the success of the case study projects in their own neighbourhoods.”
PlaceShapers is a national membership body of around 70 housing associations formed in 2008. Its members own nearly half a million homes and provide services to well over a million people.
