Ian has been a member of our team for four years. A national engagement expert, he leads our team of consultation and community involvement associates.

A former housing association operations director, Ian brings 26 years’ experience of housing and community work to the team. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing and board member of a major group. Areas of expertise include scrutiny, service improvement, governance and business development.

Ian has developed resident involvement strategies, designed and run all kinds of consultation and research and set up community mystery shopping and inspection projects for clients throughout the UK. He regularly speaks at national and regional events on engagement-related topics and is a regular contributor to the Guardian Housing Network.

Ian is also an associate with the Plain Language Commission - a partner organisation which assesses and accredits copy to the Clear English Standard.
