Aspirational Abbeywood brand success

The Bridge Group has been selected to brand a new dining, conference and leisure venue in Cheshire.

The Abbeywood Estate, set in 45 acres of grounds, will launch in Spring 2010. Visitors will enjoy a range of attractions - from the David Stevens-inspired gardens, an exclusive café serving home-made quality produce and self-contained holiday cottage with hand-made kitchen, through to the wedding and conferencing function suite and workshop where they can commission bespoke timber furniture.

Abbeywood's speciality will be providing home-grown or hand-made products using locally-sourced ingredients and materials; the cafe will use herbs and vegetables grown in the kitchen garden, and the workshop will use timber from the estate for commissions wherever possible.

Leigh Cunningham, head of design, said: “Our brief was to capture the estate’s heritage and the owners' commitment to sustainable living. Using subtle, earthy colourways applied in broad brush strokes reflects the estate perfectly, offset with a secondary palette reminiscent of summer planting. Our studio also used a modern font with a trustworthy tone and a flourish style brandmark to represent the estate’s rural location.”

Lauren Rowlinson, who commissioned the work, said: "The Bridge Group have taken our aspirations and created a brand, destination and foundation for a successful rural enterprise."

The agency is now developing a website to promote the venue in advance of the formal launch.
